What is RSS?

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is an XML format designed for sharing Web site content like news headlines. You can subscribe to this RSS feed and have the latest UNCE news and information sent to your RSS news reader program or aggregator.

How do I use RSS?

To use RSS, you will need a special RSS news reader or aggregator that will allow you to collect and display RSS feeds. RSS news readers allow you to view all your different RSS feeds in the same place and, by automatically retrieving updates, stay current with new content soon after it is published.

The latest Firefox browser includes a free news reader. A search on Google will provide you with a list of many different news readers that are available such as Google Reader, Newsgator and Feed Demon; some of these are free. Most news readers will need to be downloaded and installed on your computer. Other readers are web-based services that work inside your web browser.

Once you have a news reader setup, you will be ready to use RSS feeds. To subscribe to the UNCE news feed, follow the instructions for your particular news reader and provide the link above wherever it asks for the location of the service to which you wish to subscribe.
