Specialist, Health and Nutrition
Expertise: Aurora is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with a background in public health nutrition. Her research is focused on the food environment and its interrelationship with health. Her interests include food systems, policy, and public health. She currently serves on the Nevada Governor’s Food Security Council and convenes the Southern Nevada Food Council. She has worked to increase access to healthy foods in the community through farmers market SNAP/EBT programs, nutrition incentive programs, among others that transform the food environment.

Community Based Instructor
Expertise: Jessica Harris has worked for the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension for over two years as a Community Based Instructor.
Programs: Veggies for Kids — SNAP-Ed Nutrition Program, Federally Recognized Tribal Extension Program (FRTEP), Statewide SNAP-Ed Network and Marketing Project, Beginning Farmers and Ranchers Development Program.
Social Media Coordinator for Veggies for Kids
Expertise: David works with the Veggies for Kids program in Elko, Mineral, Lyon, and Washoe Counties, creating videos, multimedia content, and social marketing materials. He has worked for the University of Nevada, Reno since 2012, first as an Instructional Designer within the Teaching and Learning Technologies division and since 2017 for Cooperative Extension. He holds a doctorate in Instructional Design & Technology from Old Dominion University with a research focus of learning strategies and educational videos, and has lived in Northern Nevada since the late 1980’s.

Associate Professor, Exercise Science and Public Health
Expertise: PhD, Public Health; M.S., Exercise Physiology. Annie is the physical activity expert in Extension for the state and the specialist for Clark County. Her education and research includes adult and youth fitness and physical activity; early childhood physical literacy and health; women and girls under correctional supervision with co-occurring issues in substance abuse, eating disorders, body image and health; and obesity prevention in rural Nevadans.

Expertise: Pamela Powell's areas of interest include education about domestic violence awareness and intervention; health and wellness education for rural communities; wellness programs for Nevada's rural aging population.

Lander County Extension Educator
Expertise: Lisa K. Taylor works in the fields of agri-entrepreneurship; community development; nutrition education, food preparation and food preservation; health and wellness education; and youth development. As an Extension educator in Lander County, she addresses critical needs and issues with training and assessment.
Health and Nutrition Specialist
Expertise: Kelly H. Webber holds a PhD and MPH in Nutrition and is a Registered and Licensed Dietitian in the state of Nevada. Dr. Webber’s past work has included a focus on adult behavior change around nutrition, physical activity and healthy weight. Her work has also included integrating technology into behavior change interventions. Dr. Webber’s current work focuses on food security and nutrition education in vulnerable populations. She is the faculty director of the Nevada Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP). She is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
