Douglas County 4-H High School Seniors can apply for our two 4-H scholarships: Carson Valley Kiwanis/4-H Scholarship ($1000) and The Norm Sharkey Memorial Scholarship (up to $500). Scholarships will be mailed to eligible 4-H high school seniors February 9, 2018. To be eligible, you must be a 4-H High School Senior, have turned in a portfolio/record book last year and currently be a member in good standing. Scholarships and all accompanying documents are due back to the 4-H office by April 4, 4:30 PM or to the Douglas County High School by deadline listed in the applications. Contact (775) 782-9960

Have you been wanting more information on how to fill out your Portfolio for 4-H? Portfolios are due each fall, in order to receive year-end 4-H member awards and to be eligible for Leader’s Council scholarships.

Join us at 6:30-7:30 pm on Tuesday February 27 at the Douglas County 4-H Office at 1325 Waterloo Lane in Gardnerville. A parent must accompany their 4-H member.

At this workshop, 4-H’rs and their parents will learn the basics of filling out their portfolio. Contact (775) 782-9960 for info. All workshop materials will be provided. For ages 9+ (not for Cloverbud members) RSVP is not required.
