4-H Youth Development

Welcome to Carson City/Storey County 4-H Youth Development

4-H club programming in the Carson City/Storey County area covers more than 10 project areas that teach leadership, life skills and citizenship. Independent projects of the members own design are also offered. Typical 4-H age for club members range from 9 to 19 years of age; however many of the clubs accept "Cloverbuds," youth ages 5 to 8. Some restrictions apply to Cloverbuds around exhibition and competition. The bedrock of 4-H youth development is our contingent of trained volunteer leaders. If you or your children are looking for a quality and fun youth development experience, contact Jim Barcellos or Sandy Wallin at the Carson City/Storey County office of the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension, 775-887-2252.
