4-H Camp Boys Cabins

The Nevada State 4-H Camp at Stateline, NV - Lake Tahoe is managed by the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension and is available for rental year round. Groups may reserve the Camp for Day use between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Overnight use includes use of cabins as well as all other 4-H Camp facilities. The facilities include rustic cabins, dining hall, outdoor covered eating area, craft cabin, separate boy's and girl's bathroom, campfire pit, amphitheater, several recreational lawn areas, and a private beach on Lake Tahoe. The main area of camp sits under a canopy of Jeffrey pines.

Overnight Use:

Summer season (June – September)

Five rustic boys' and five rustic girls' cabins are available. Each cabin lodges 16 campers and includes eight bunk beds. The two-story, environmentally friendly Green Cabin has four rooms that each sleep 14 and includes seven bunk beds in each of the four rooms. The Lyon Cabin has two separate sleeping rooms and each sleeps 12 and includes six bunk beds. Lyons Cabin has indoor showers and restrooms. Our capacity for high season is 245. Campers must provide their own linens or sleeping bags. All beds are sturdy bunks with washable mattresses.

There are separate outdoor bathroom and shower facilities. One in the girl's area and one in the boy's area complete with electrical outlets. All sleeping cabins and restrooms are accessible by those with disabilities.

A separate director's cabin that sleeps five is provided for use for staff members, medical support, etc. and has indoor shower and restroom. The beds are extra-long twins.

The Camp's capacity for the summer season is 245. Campers must provide their own linens or sleeping bags. All beds are sturdy bunks with washable mattresses.

The use of the beach is only available if the group has certified lifeguards – one lifeguard per 50 campers.

Minimum usage between June 1st and August 31st is 50 campers and staff.

Off season (October – May)

The two-story, environmentally friendly Green Cabin has four rooms that each sleep 14 and includes seven bunk beds in each of the four rooms. The two-story is heated for cold climates. The Lyon Cabin has two separate sleeping rooms and each sleeps 12 and includes six bunk beds. Lyons Cabin has indoor showers and restrooms and is heated for cold climates.

Only the outdoor bathroom and shower facilities in the girls' area is available in the Off Season. The outdoor bathroom and shower facilities in the boy's area is closed between October and May. All available sleeping cabins and restrooms are accessible by those with disabilities.

The Camp's capacity for off season is 85. Campers must provide their own linens or sleeping bags. All beds are sturdy bunks with washable mattresses.

The use of the beach is only available if the group has certified lifeguards – one lifeguard per 50 campers.

Minimum usage between September 1st and May 31st is 25 campers and staff.

Day Use:

Groups may reserve the camp for Day Use between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. The only facilities available for day use are the dining hall with restrooms, outdoor dining pavilion, the beach, if the group has a certified lifeguard, and lawn areas. The sleeping cabin and outdoor bathroom and shower facilities are not available.

Food Service:

A well-equipped kitchen enables our kitchen staff to provide well balanced meals at very reasonable prices. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and afternoon snacks are available. Rental of the kitchen facility is NOT available to user groups.

In the summer months campers may take meals outdoors on the picnic tables under the dining pavilion or within the dining hall itself. The dining hall, which includes an indoor restroom, accommodates 166 people.

Additional Facilities:

The campfire area near the dining hall accommodates 150 people. A scenic amphitheater complete with a stage overlooking the lake holds the same number of campers. A separate crafts building is provided for indoor activities.
