Expertise: Carol is the Extension Educator for Northeast Clark County. Her areas of interest are agricultural economics and fostering local agriculture and other enterprises as a means for enhancing economic and community development.
Programs: Small Business Support, Growing Local Grown, Beginning Farmers and Ranchers, Economic Evaluation of Alternative Low-Water-Use Crops.
Expertise: Staci Emm is the Mineral County Extension Educator. She develops programs in community development, natural resources and youth development to facilitate the sustainability of rural communities.
Programs: 4-H, Community Development through Vegetation Management, Agriculture and Natural Resources Sustainability, Relationship building with American Indians.
Expertise: Steve Foster works in the fields of agriculture, natural resources, sustainable agriculture and youth development. In addition, Steve is a certified crop advisor with hands-on experience in livestock production. As an Extension Educator in Pershing County, he addresses critical needs/issues with educational programs and training.
Programs: Agricultural production, Nevada Youth Range Camp, Pesticide Education, Beef Management, Alternative Agronomic Crops Production and Beginning Farmer and Rancher Program (Herds and Harvest).
Expertise: Holly's program areas are developing a local food industry in Nevada and assisting the county in economic, workforce, youth and community development.
Northern Area Horticulture Specialist
Expertise: Heidi's interests and expertise are in urban horticulture, water-efficient and native plant landscaping, and sustainable plant production. She is a certified Horticulturist and has taught classes for pesticide applicator and certified arborist training.
Expertise: Pamela Powell's areas of interest include education about domestic violence awareness and intervention; health and wellness education for rural communities; wellness programs for Nevada's rural aging population.
