Fun to Play | Nature
for parents and their young children
A plain brown sandwich bag can become a treasure chest for your child's nature finds. Let your child decorate his nature bag with colored markers, crayons, or stickers. Go on a nature walk in your yard or the park. Collect leaves, rocks, feathers, etc. What you do with the contents of the bag will depend on the age of the child. Your one year old will enjoy talking about what he put in his bag. Your two year old will enjoy gluing the contents of his nature bag on a piece of cardboard to make a collage. Let your three year old look at his leaves, feathers and rocks through a magnifying glass.
