Pesticide Applicator Certification 2007

Posted 5/2/2007

University of Nevada Cooperative Extension and the Nevada Department of Agriculture will offer Pesticide Applicator Certification Schools in January 2007 at three locations. The Pesticide Safety Education program is used to train applicators who apply restricted-use pesticides either on their own land or as a commercial venture. A Licensee Workshop will be held only at the Lovelock location.

    The location sites include:
  • Lovelock, Jan. 10-11
  • Las Vegas, Jan. 25-26
  • Reno, Jan. 30-31

Pre-registration is required for Reno and Las Vegas classes and must be postmarked by Dec. 22. Registration for the Lovelock class will be at the door. All registration is $40. Add $25 to take the certification examination. The Nevada Pesticide Applicator's Training Guide is $15 and is available at Cooperative Extension offices or the Las Vegas office of Nevada Department of Agriculture.

The Lovelock class will be the only class to offer Continuing Education Units (CEUs). Attendees for the entire day will receive six CEUs, four general, one law and one safety.

Registration forms and schedules are available at online under "Activity Calendar," or by calling 775-784-1931 for details.
