Charlotte's Web Raises Funds for Nevada 4-H Programs
Beginning Dec. 8, movie ticket certificates for Charlotte's Web may be purchased through The National 4-H Council website. Nevada purchasers will be asked for their zip codes by Hollywood Movie Money, which will designate 100 percent of collected donations to Nevada 4-H. For every online ticket purchased locally, a $1 donation will be made to sponsor Nevada 4-H programs.
"Charlotte's Web features the themes that speak directly to the great work that 4-H does in developing youth - building friendships, commitment to goals and having fun!" said Donald Floyd, president and CEO of the National 4-H Council.
Ticket certificates may be purchased by credit card and printed out separately. Each certificate is redeemable at Reno, Las Vegas and Henderson area Century Theatres in Nevada. Ticket prices are determined by the cinemas. While the certificate guarantees admission to a show time until Jan. 31, 2007, it does not reserve seating to a particular showing.
Nearly 50,000 young Nevadans participate in various 4-H events every year. As the largest youth-serving organization in the world, 4-H programs exist in all 50 states and over 80 countries. Current U.S. membership exceeds 6.5 million members. 4-H's primary focus is enriching and development of youth through an array of educational programs, competitions and national conventions. The program is supported by over 538,000 adult volunteers and over 60 million 4-H alumni, including Charlotte's Web voice-starring country music singer, Reba McEntire.
