Tree care and pruning seminar offered in Spanish and English

University of Nevada Cooperative Extension is offering a Tree Care and Pruning Seminar in both Spanish and English for green industry professionals, such as landscapers and grounds maintenance workers, in Las Vegas, Jan. 18. The seminar will focus on caring for mature trees, and will discuss topics such as irrigation for expanding root systems, pest control, nutrient needs and safety tips.

The seminar will begin at 7 a.m., with registration starting at 6 a.m., and will conclude at 3:30 p.m. It will be held at the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension Lifelong Learning Center, 8050 Paradise Road, Suite 100, in Las Vegas.

Those interested in attending can register by calling Martha Barajas at 702-257-5522 (Spanish) or Karyn Johnson at 702-257-5523 (English). Registration is also available online. Persons in need of special accommodations or assistance should call at least three days prior to the trainings they intend to attend.
