Rose festival and meet and greet scheduled in Sept.
Tours of the demonstration rose garden begin at 5 pm
University of Nevada Cooperative Extension and the South Valley Rose Society are collaborating and offering educational meetings throughout the fall. Free and open to the public, the Sept. 24, 2015 meeting will be a Rose Festival and a meet and greet.
The new season kick-off begins at 5 p.m. with a tour of the Master Gardener Rose Garden in the Demonstration and Test Garden area and finish with a Rose Festival. During the Festival, you will have the opportunity to meet and greet Cooperative Extension’s Social Horticulturist Specialist, Angela O’Callaghan, the South Valley Rose Society members and the Master Gardener volunteers. Cut and potted roses will be on display in Classrooms B and C.
This special Festival will run from 5-8 p.m. at the Lifelong Learning Center located at 8050 Paradise Road, Las Vegas, Nev. (I-215 and Windmill Lane). For more information, please email or call the Master Gardener Help Desk at 702-257-5555.
