Grant writing workshop for local food promotion scheduled
Training offered to assist individuals with the application process
The Regional Rural Development Centers in cooperation with the USDA Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) have developed workshop materials and resources focused on improving the funding success rate of applicants to USDA AMS grant programs, specifically the Farmers Market Promotion Program and the Local Food Promotion Program.
University of Nevada Cooperative Extension is participating in this project by offering this free training program on April 7 from 1-5 p.m. to assist individuals and organizations in their efforts to secure AMS resources to further the provision of local foods.

These workshops are funded by the USDA’s Agricultural Marketing Service and facilitated by USDA’s National Institute of Food and Agriculture. The project is coordinated by the USDA-NIFA Regional Rural Development Centers.
