Gardening in Small Places offering two workshops in February

Join Cooperative Extension on Saturday, February 15 for a workshop on Gardening in Small Places: Vegetables from 8 a.m. to noon and on February 22 for a second workshop on Gardening in Small Places: Pruning from 9 a.m. to noon. The classes, taught by Dr. Angela O’Callaghan, are designed to show you how to make the most of your small space. Topics for the vegetables workshop cover types of containers to use, differences in potting mixes, using artificial light, fertilizers, success with seeds and more will be covered. The pruning workshop will cover pruning fruit trees, ornamentals and desert plants. Homeowners and other interested parties are welcome to attend.

Class space is limited and pre-registration is required. There is a $25 fee for each class which includes class materials.
