March 28, Reasons to go to the Annual April 20th Rose Show, Janet Schneider. You can attend and display your roses or you can team up with someone who is displaying theirs. Either way, learn how to read the schedule, how to choose your roses, transport them and get them ready.
April 25, Propagating Roses from Cuttings, Judith Kafantaris, Consulting Rosarian and Master Gardener. Want to add a rose from another garden to your rose garden? What varieties are easier to propagate from cuttings? What tools are needed and what procedures works best. How to take a cutting from a public place/garden or from someone’s garden? How to bring them home on the airplane or in a car.
May 23, Summer Rose Care, Consulting Rosarian Round Table Discussion with Questions and Answers. Summer heat and wind plays havoc with roses. What can we do to minimize the damage? Do we fertilize in the 100 degree heat or higher? Are there tricks we have learned over the years that work? Are the products to protect roses from heat effective?
