Master Gardeners at Tivoli Farmers Market

Posted 10/5/2012

The Clark County Master Gardeners staff an information table at the Tivoli Farmers Market on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month from 8 am until 1 pm.

The special topic being presented on November 3 is Herbs for Holiday Cooking and Fertilizing for Fall.

The topic for November 17 is Taking Care of Roses and Winterizing Your Garden. Community members are invited to stop by with their gardening questions and pick up free gardening publications.

Master Gardeners are University-trained community volunteers who share their knowledge and desert gardening skills via community projects such as “Ask a MG” info tables. Master Gardeners are experienced in successfully growing plants in the harsh (hot, dry, windy) climate of the Mojave Desert. This is an environment unfamiliar to many newcomers. By teaching what to plant and how to properly care for their landscapes or gardens, the Master Gardeners save people money—on water, soil amendments, plant materials, etc. You can reach a Master Gardener by phone by calling the Help Desk at 702-257-5555 or email.
