COOPERATIVE EXTENSION: Southern Area Director Named

Jerry Buk has been named University of Nevada Cooperative Extension Southern Area Director. Buk was formerly the Central/Northeast Extension Educator for 13 years.

"As Southern Area Director, my initial goals are two-fold," Buk said. "First is to provide support and resources for our employees, and second is to promote collaboration with individuals, the community and the university."

Buk received a Master’s Degree from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln.

University of Nevada Cooperative Extension is an outreach arm of the University that extends unbiased, research-based knowledge from the University of Nevada-and other land-grant universities-to local communities. Educational programs are developed based on local needs, sometimes in partnership with other agencies and volunteers.
