Becoming a Desert Gardener

Becoming a Desert Gardener Fall Community Lecture Series — free and open to the public! Wednesday evenings, 7-8 p.m. UNCE Lifelong Learning Center (Windmill exit off the 215)

University of Cooperative Extension (UNCE) Master Gardeners of Southern Nevada present their annual Fall community lecture series, Becoming a Desert Gardener. Free, introductory gardening classes are offered by the Las Vegas-based Master Gardeners on Wednesday evenings in October. All sessions begin at 7 p.m. and are held at the UNCE Lifelong Learning Center, located at the Windmill exit off the 215 (8050 Paradise Road, Las Vegas, NV 89123.

Classes are open to the public. Pre-registration is requested by calling the Master Gardener Home Gardening Help Line at: 257-5555. Master Gardener Help Line volunteers will take reservations or answer home gardening questions Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. — 5 p.m.

The Master Gardener Program is an educational program designed to teach volunteers gardening techniques that are compatible with our desert community. MG Training Classes are held twice yearly with a daytime schedule in the Fall semester and evening schedule in the Spring semester. Fall semester classes begin on September 14.
