University of Nevada Cooperative Extension, in partnership with faith-based, non-profit and public organizations, is hosting a kick-off and distribution event to announce Kinship Connectors, a consortium to support relatives raising relatives’ children. The community is invited to attend this kick-off on Wednesday, August 12, 2009, at 1 p.m. Dozens of social service agencies have collaborated on a resource guide that will assist thousands of kinship families in Clark County.

The event will be held at Cooperative Extension’s Lifelong Learning Center at 8050 Paradise Road, Las Vegas, Nev., 89123 (I-215 and Windmill Lane). The resource guide in CD format, Raising Your Relative’s Kids: How to Find Help, will be distributed at that time. To RSVP, please call 702-455-0775 or e-mail .
