How to Grow Peaches in Southern Nevada Class

University of Nevada Cooperative Extension will host a free class on growing peaches in southern Nevada on Wednesday, June 17 from 2 to 4 p.m. The same class will be offered again from 7 to 9 p.m. The class is intended to encourage small scale production of peaches as well as backyard growing. Topics covered will include which peaches have done the best for us at our demonstration orchard, proper planting, watering and fertilizing and pest control.

The class, held at Cooperative Extension’s Lifelong Learning Center near Windmill and I-215, will require no registration or RSVP. For more information please contact Bob Morris at or call 257-5555 and speak with a Master Gardener.
