Dance Your Essence Friday’s planned

Posted 2/3/2009

Join University of Nevada Cooperative Extension for "Dance Your Essence Friday’s" in Las Vegas starting Feb. 13. This is an exploration, a journey through movement, a meditative practice that can be enjoyed everyday. Dance with music as the teacher, guiding a journey of breath, movement and relationship while encompassing the five rhythms of flowing, staccato, chaos, lyrical and stillness.

Each week the music and themes are different, but usually include a trip through the body, rediscovering it as it wants to move. You will feel the support of a large room of vital movement and discover your unique dance qualities.

All dances are free to the public and located at Cooperative Extension’s Lifelong Learning Center located at 8050 Paradise Road (I-215 & Windmill Lane). Dance dates are Feb. 13 & 20, March 6 & 20, April 3 & 17, and May 1 & 15.
