Kids ID and English for US Citizenship programs offered

LAS VEGAS-Cambridge Community Center is the location for two University of Nevada Cooperative Extension summer programs-Kids Identification and English for US Citizenship. Cambridge Community Center is located at 3930 Cambridge Street, Las Vegas, 89119-near Flamingo Road and Maryland Parkway.89119

Kids Identification Program-on Wednesday, June 25, at 10 a.m., bring your child to receive a heat-sealed laminate packet which will include: a full-color photograph, complete physical description, parent’s return address and your child’s right thumbprint. The cost of this program is $6 for one card or $10 for three cards of the same child. For more information, please contact Zory Caldera at (720) 894-9964 or e-mail .

English for US Citizenship Program which begins on July 9 will provide a basic explanation of the Naturalization process and answer questions of eligibility for US Citizenship. The instructors will help with the application forms and instruction sheets and provide individual and group assistance in completing the application. You will also receive a study guide for the citizenship test and referrals to free US Government test preparation and ESL classes. The program runs every Thursday from 6 - 7:30 p.m. until September 10. There is no cost for the program. To register, or for more information, please call Carmen Favela at (702) 648-3500.
