NV State Senator Care to speak at graduation

LAS VEGAS-Nevada State Senator Terry John Care will address University of Nevada Cooperative Extension’s (UNCE) Spring 2008 Master Gardener graduating class on Wednesday, June 4, 2008. The graduation, along with the annual appreciation luncheon, will begin at 9 a.m. and take place at Cooperative Extension’s Lifelong Learning Center located at 8050 S. Maryland Pkwy., Las Vegas, NV, 89123.

Completing the 70-hour horticultural training course and passing the final examination, the 40 individuals from the Spring 2008 Master Gardener Training Class will receive graduation certificates. The class members include: Patty Annis, Sandra Beynon, Bob Cardillo, Thomas Cook, Mary deCesare, Dick Diskin, Cindy Dixon, Barbara Eagan, Diane Eisen, Carol Farkas, Sharon Fodness, Betty Fornes, Romy Fortin, Mark Gamett, Rebecca Gonzalez, Susan Haas, Adriana Hall, Jenn Head, Nanette Hilton, Anna Huh, Meegan Lancaster, Dennis Lardent, Julie Livernash, Barbara McKinnon, Robbie Moore, Randall Morgan, Carol Newton, Yutaka Nomura, Lori Nye, Mary Riding, Carolyn Robins, Lisa Roof, Amy Saccomano, Michael Smith, Dan Stephens, Joan Stevens, Bill Strang, Sue Verchick, Gregory Wilkinson and Ray Zawisza.

The Cooperative Extension Master Gardener Program offers gardening classes to the public as well as comprehensive horticultural instruction to those wishing to become a Master Gardener. All classes are held at the UNCE Lifelong Learning Center.
