Free Parenting Class

Posted 4/2/2008

LAS VEGAS-University of Nevada Cooperative Extension is offering Issues Around Gender as part of the series of the Parents Go First™ programming. The free class will be presented on Saturday, May 10, 2008 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Children look to their parents and caregivers to learn how to be in the world. This program series builds on the idea that changes by one member in the family influences all family members. Parents Go First™ is designed to help parents explore and understand some of their own internal limitations, belief systems, prohibitions and conflicts that are fundamental to parenting practices.

Parents Go First™ classes are free and will be held at Cooperative Extension’s Lifelong Learning Center, located at 8050 S. Maryland Parkway (I-215 and Windmill Lane). Comfortable clothing should be worn. For more information, or to register for this class, please contact Dr. Geoffrey Leigh at (702) 257-5527 or email The class is limited to 25 participants.
