A training being offered is for the Livestock Education/Livestock Skillathon Contest (in the morning session) and for Leaders/Leadership Development (in the afternoon session).

The Livestock/Livestock Skillathon Session will be conducted by Steve Schafer, State 4-H Program Coordinator and a 4-H Colleague near each site (Deb Cobb for Pahrump, Lynn Conley for Yerington, and Myrna Fisher for Battle Mountain). The Leader/Leadership Session will unveil the New State 4-H Volunteer Training Package and this session will be taught by Jill Tingey, State 4-H Leadership Specialist. Both of these sessions are designed to be "down-to-earth" with practical use/applications serving as a basis for the program, and with time for "one-on-one" interaction.

For additional details, please review the Information Packet. For specific questions, please contact either Steve (for livestock info) or Jill (for leadership info). Steve can be reached via telephone at 775-784-6207 and Jill can be reached at 775-753-4545 or they can be reached via email at schafers@unce.unr.edu (for Steve) or jilltingey@gmail.com (for Jill).
