Youth leadership camp set for Feb. 17-19
University of Nevada Cooperative Extension will offer a youth Leadership Camp/Laboratory at the Nevada State 4-H Camp at Lake Tahoe, Feb. 17-19. The camp is open to all Nevada youth ages 13 through 15. Participants do not need to be 4-H members to attend.
Registration is due Jan. 10. The cost is $100 for each student, which covers all meals, supplies and camp activities. A minimum of 50 participants are needed to hold the event.
The camp experience is designed to help prepare young people for future leadership opportunities. Participants will learn leadership skills through winter survival activities, Cooperative Extension's Life Rocks! program, GPS mapping and challenge course activities.
