Expertise: Heather Angeloff has interest in weather, climate, and citizen-science. She is a Regional Coordinator in Nevada for the Community Collaborative Rain, Hail, & Snow Network (CoCoRaHS). She works with CoCoRaHS volunteer observers, UNCE faculty, and the community at large to help expand CoCoRaHS participation and increase environmental literacy across the state.

Expertise: Judy educates youth in health and wellness through proper nutrition and exercise in rural areas and Native American Reservations. Judy is also passionate about teaching youngsters how to sustain and maintain a garden, while teaching them about healthy eating choices.

Social Media Coordinator for Veggies for Kids


Expertise: David works with the Veggies for Kids program in Elko, Mineral, Lyon, and Washoe Counties, creating videos, multimedia content, and social marketing materials. He has worked for the University of Nevada, Reno since 2012, first as an Instructional Designer within the Teaching and Learning Technologies division and since 2017 for Cooperative Extension. He holds a doctorate in Instructional Design & Technology from Old Dominion University with a research focus of learning strategies and educational videos, and has lived in Northern Nevada since the late 1980’s.

Expertise: Marcia Moffitt is a Master Gardener and Internationally Certified Arborist (ISA). She works with the public to support and implement horticulture and arboriculture programs, including plant problem diagnostics and insect identification.

Expertise: Molly Pezzuto is the Lyon County 4-H Coordinator. She works with the Leaders and 4-Hers to organize and set up 4-H events like the Lyon County Jr Livestock Show and open houses to promote 4-H throughout the county. She has a degree in Animal Science Livestock Business Management from California State University, Fresno. She has been working with livestock for the last 9 years and putting on livestock shows for the 5 years.

Expertise: Tarah works with local Lyon County schools and families to make policy, system, and environmental changes to enhance better nutrition and physical activity through the Veggies for Kids program. She also uses school gardens to educate youth on how to have a successful garden.
