Healthy, happy, active, fit program for preschoolers

Program geared toward children 3-5 years of age

All 4 Kids©, a program of University of Nevada Cooperative Extension, is offering a 12-week program for preschool children (ages 3-5) and their parents to encourage families to be healthy, happy, active and fit. Working in cooperation three centers, families are provided interactive experiences that promote healthful habits regarding physical activity, eating and living healthy at any shape or size. Go foods (foods that can be eaten every day) and Whoa foods (foods that can be eaten once in a while) are taught to encourage children and parents to make healthy choices.

The All 4 Kids© program helps children meet Nevada’s Pre-Kindergarten (Pre-K) Standards while encouraging preschool children and their families to live healthy. Utilizing dance, children will build skills outlined in Nevada’s Pre-K Standards while having fun and making new friends. Free materials will be given to families to continue activities at home such as the All 4 Kids© award-winning music and dance CD/DVD, nutrition and fitness games, recipes and more.

This FREE program will be offered at: H.P. Fitzgerald Elementary School, 2651 Revere Street North Las Vegas, Nev. every Monday and Thursday beginning January 29, 2015 at 9:30 a.m.; the Cambridge Community Center located at 3900 Cambridge St., Las Vegas, Nev. every Monday and Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. beginning February 4; and Rex Bell Elementary School, 2900 Wilmington Way, Las Vegas, Nev. every Tuesday and Friday beginning January 30, 2015 at 9:30 a.m.
