Nevada Naturalist logoA dynamic conference, “The Rewards of Preserving Southern Nevada’s Natural Resources” is being held at two picturesque locations: 1)  Cooperative Extension’s Lifelong Learning Center on October 21, and 2) Clark County Wetlands Park on October 22-23 for Nevada Naturalist participants and others who are interested in gaining knowledge about environmental issues and conservation projects in Nevada; as well as learning about volunteer opportunities that will make a positive difference in their community.

The 2 1/2-day conference features a unique keynote; sessions on environmental topics specific to Nevada presented by notable speakers from arounds the State; a meet and greet; a Lake Mead cruise: morning yoga; a silent auction; a hike ’til dusk, and more.

At 4 p.m. today, youth are welcome to participate in the Drone Discovery challenge at Ruben P. Diaz Elementary School, 4450 E. Owens Ave. in Las Vegas. The event is free and open to the public. Come and join the 4-H National Science Day event!
