Family hikingThe September 13, 2016 Nevada Naturalist Lecture Series speakers are from the Las Vegas ICO—Inspiring Connections Outdoors, an outreach program of the Sierra Club, that provides nature outings and wilderness experiences for underserved urban youth in the Las Vegas area.

Volunteer leaders work in cooperation with community agencies and schools to provide safe and enjoyable outdoor experiences to young people who might not otherwise have them.  ICO participants learn to forge a meaningful bond with nature so that they will appreciate its wonder and understand the need for its protection.
