  • September 3, Tree Tour of Demonstration Garden—Tour all the trees in Acacia Park; it is the perfect time of year to see all their beautiful trees. This will be a walking, guided tour with a Master Gardener who can answer questions while identifying the elements of the Demonstration Garden.  You will receive a written guide of native Nevada trees to help you on this tour; your questions will be answered as you walk along.
  • September 10, Oh My Aching Back—Master Gardeners know that gardening is a healthy habit for all ages, but sometimes a physical condition can affect our ability to enjoy gardening.  Learn strategies for modifying clothing, equipment, techniques to prevent injury, to you and/or the garden.  Instruction will be provided on how to easily utilize your home tools – so please bring your favorite small gardening implement.
  • September 24, Landscape Design with Fall Colors in Mind—Great landscape design starts with a plan.  Your Master Gardener instructor will show you how to go about developing, visualizing what your landscape could be for the fall and winter.  You will learn what plants grow well in this season and which can add color in your life.
