Eating to Stop and Control High Blood Pressure is offering a series of classes to help participants learn skills to prevent and control this condition. The classes will be offered at Cooperative Extension’s Lifelong Learning Center located at 8050 Paradise Road (LV, 89123).
On July 6, learn about the D.A.S.H. eating plan; on July 13, learn how to look for the hidden salt and sodium in your food; and on July 20, learn the ways to work dairy into your diet if you are mile and lactose intolerant.
The goal of this program is to teach participants to learn to use the Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension (D.A.S.H.) Eating Plan through interactive activities. Participants will also understand the risk factors associated with high blood pressure and the dangers of uncontrolled high blood pressure.
