Landscape drawingsDesert landscaping can save water, conserve energy, reduce the time and money needed for maintenance and still look beautiful if it is designed correctly.  University of Nevada Cooperative Extension will be offering their twice-a-week series of classes called Landscape Design with the Desert in Mind beginning the evening of February 14, 2011.  Offered to the community since 1996, over 600 residents have completed the series of eight classes with a finished design ready to be installed.  Some finished landscapes have won local design awards.
